So here's an interesting little tidbit for you sushi lovers out there - every time you buy sushi you are supporting the Unification Church. This could be extraordinarly problematic if you are a huge fan of sushi but not too big on the Unification Church. (However, if it makes you feel any better, every time you have stayed at a Marriott, you have supported the Mormons.)
Now before you think I've lost my mind in making such a statement, feel free to read The Chicago Tribune Article about it for yourself.
Apparently, the Church also took the bold initiative of marrying immigrant fishermen to American citizen members of its church, several hundred at a time, so that they could become citizens and bypass some silly US regulations regarding foreign boats and where they can fish.
